The Treasure Principle: Unlocking the Secret of Joyful Giving
Author: Randy Alcorn
Publisher: Colorado Springs: Multnomah Publishers, 120 pages.
Category: Money
Synopsis: Money is temporary. The materials we buy with it cannot travel with us to the grave or beyond. However, the ministry that could be accomplished through the generous use of money could have eternal effects in our lives and the lives of those who were on the receiving end of our generosity. Randy Alcorn’s book challenges Christians to think biblically about what money is, what it is not, and how God can use it as just one of many tools for ministry.
Value: My first instinct is to think that this book is perfect for husbands and fathers who are trying to set the spiritual pace for their households. My instincts would be right, but they would be incomplete. This book is also great for teenage men who are beginning to earn money, the college student who has no money (or is in debt), or even the retired individual who is struggling to make ends meet on a fixed income. At less than 10 cents a page, it is one of the best values for your library and life.
