Manhood On The Mind

Gentlemen, because it has been a few weeks since I have been able to get back into a blogging rhythm, I thought that I would pass along to you some other articles and news items that pertain to manhood in the Christian blogosphere.
There are other gifted, well-studied, and experienced men and women of God who are thinking about the issue of manhood and all that it entails. On a daily basis, I check in with these writers just to see what’s cooking out there, and if it’s good, I think it would be helpful to pass the links along to you. So here goes:
Kevin DeYoung - DeYoung, Restless, and Reformed
Kevin DeYoung, a pastor and author in East Lansing, Michigan, offered these words from a man who shows us what substantive manhood looks like under pressure.
On another note, DeYoung offers his own words, challenging words, on prayer. I found it convicting and hope it does the same to you.
The Council on Biblical Manhood & Womanhood
Though it may seem strange to promote a resource like Carolyn McCulley’s blog, known as Radical Womanhood, the reality is that she grants us the female perspective of the need for biblical manhood and womanhood. Her thoughts have proven to be challenging to me. I have provided the links to a two-part interview of McCulley conducted by Courtney Reissig.
Albert Mohler - Boundless Webzine
Boundless® has reposted a classic article by Dr. Albert Mohler that is definitely worth a read. You may not agree with his high standards of what constitutes a mature man of God, but I challenge you to do better in your studies and description. It’s harder than you think!
